Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Aromatherapy Massage will treat all areas of the body most prone to stress and tension, such as the back, shoulders and neck, along with the upper and lower legs, arms and hands. The blend of incredible oils and the luxurious massage will send you into complete relaxation, and you'll leave feeling renewed. Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage therapy. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - \"shi\" (finger) and \"atsu\" (pressure). In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body, gentle stretching techniques are applied over a wider area of the body to integrate the point work and encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body. Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind and spirit.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. This technique generally begins as a relaxation massage to warm up the muscles. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Cupping Therapy is a technique that uses cups placed over the skin to create negative pressure through suction. This method has been used for centuries, increasing blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. Cupping can be applied statically, where the cups are left in place in one spot for a maximum of three minutes, or actively, sliding the cup along the length of a muscle to improve healing and function to an entire muscle.
**Cupping Therapy is an add-on service that can be incorporated into any massage that I offer - additional $10 fee**
Disclaimer: Cupping may leave red marks on the skin as a natural reaction to treatment.
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. Once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.
**Reiki is an add-on service that can be incorporated into any massage that I offer - additional $20 fee**
**Listed below are add-on services that can be incorporated into any massage that I offer - no additional fee**
♦ Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing \"trigger points\" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These \"knots\" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.
♦ Massage Gun is a handheld device that uses vibration therapy to emulate a technique called 'tapotement'. Vibration movements can help stimulate nerves, relieve muscular tension and decrease stress. Vibrations at a slower pace are an effective treatment to produce a feeling of relaxation. The benefits of vibration massage techniques are: relieves tight muscles, reduces stress and improves circulation.
♦ Assisted Stretching, also known as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation or PNF stretching, is where another person is manipulating your body while you try to relax your muscles. The PNF protocol involves a specific pattern of contracting, stretching, and relaxing. Typically, the therapist will first manually stretch a muscle or group of muscles for about ten seconds. Next, the therapist asks the client to activate the targeted muscle, using gentle resistance. PNF stretching has been proven to improve active and passive range of motion. It can be used to supplement daily, static stretching and has been shown to help athletes improve performance and make speedy gains in range of motion. Not only does it increase flexibility, but it can also improve muscular strength. (Resistance Band Assisted Stretching is also offered).
This five-minute technique can be done before, during, or after your massage - included within massage session timeframe.
♦ Scraping is a treatment technique using tools that efficiently locate and treat soft tissue tightness and injury. The scraping instruments help break up these adhesions, restore normal tissue mobility, and improve range of motion, just like any other form of soft tissue mobilization or deep tissue massage. Scraping can be done before cupping to quickly soften the tissue.
**Disclaimer: There will be some discomfort during treatment, but the instrument and massage should not cause intense pain. Some slight bruising may occur.**
